exploring the Cornwall theme in textiles - Carol Tiflin

At the beginning of the year we announced three new members to our group St. Ives Textiles and in May we welcomed another.  Today we are sharing some beautiful textile work created by new member Carol Tiflin.

Carol loves to experiment with textile techniques in her home studio.  Her work is always interesting and original using a wide variety of materials which she manipulates to purpose.

We hope you enjoy seeing some glimpses of her work below.  You can see her artist page on the side of the website, visit her blog called TIFLIN and see her work at our exhibition in September.  You are sure to be inspired by her work!

Carol explores our Cornwall theme in colour and texture ... with a variety of media and exploring a great many things about Cornwall, and St. Ives in particular, that inspire her.  He work with fishing buoys is so colourful and full of texture ...

We hope you enjoyed seeing these glimpses of Carol's work.  In our next post we will be sharing the work of Jo McIntosh ... please pop by to see what theme Jo is exploring for our Cornwall show.
