November Meeting.

Our November meeting was held on a beautiful, sunny morning in St Ives, and this was our view from the studio window - how gorgeous!

It's always nice to catch up with each other at our monthly meetings - and there was much to discuss this time including deciding on our new theme.

We are delighted to let you know, that the theme that we will be working on towards our next exhibition will be:

'Fish, Feathers and Fur'

Our heads are already buzzing with ideas and we look forward to sharing our works in progress with you along the way!

Other snippets...

You may remember from our previous post that we had attended an Anne Kelly workshop, and a few of us brought along our projects from that day to show what progress we had made.

Minnie has been adding further stitching to her folding book, highlighting the different printed elements:

Jo has continued to embellish her piece and is now attaching a backing - she has decided not to fold it into a book, but to present it as a panel:

Tanya has completed her book which has a double-sided design and is completely covered with dense stitching to give it surface texture and stability.  Stitched words have been included as well as a little fastening button and loop:

Tanya has also completed a travel tag for Anne Kelly's 'Moving Memories Project', details of which can be found here .

Minnie also had her sketchbook with her which had some lovely observational drawings and sketches as shown below:

Hopefully, now that we have a new theme, we can begin filling fresh sketchbooks with ideas, inspiration and samples to share with you at our next exhibition.

We will keep you updated with exhibition dates and details as soon as we can.
